Hi! In October 2010, I moved from San Francisco to Manhattan with my husband, daughter, and twin boys. Since then I've been busy teaching myself and my kids how to hail a cab, fly a kite in Central Park, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with style. And a few other things. I write about those other things here. Thanks for stopping by!

This reminds me....A couple of years ago I had a b-day party for my daughter. It was a horse b-day party on a ranch. I rented a pony & a horse, made a cute horse pinata with tons of candy, gave the kids cowboy/cowgirl hats,& we had lunch. Well....to my big surprise....the hit of the party was NOT the horse/pony. Don't get me wrong, they all enjoyed their turn on the horse ride. The BIG hit was the tire swing that happened to be hanging from a thick tree branch. That was the HIT!!! EVERYONE wanted to go on the tire swing:) I should have just put a few of these in my backyard and called it a day:) The kids would have had a ball & the party would have been a lot less expensive!:) As soon as the party was over, my husband found a tire and put it in our backyard:) I love looking at:) It reminds me of an All Amercian backyard:) It looks like your kids had a blast...for FREE!!::):)
I loved tire swings as a child! They need to make more of a comeback...

at our elementary school they had to replace them a couple times a year because of the use and abuse!
