Hi! In October 2010, I moved from San Francisco to Manhattan with my husband, daughter, and twin boys. Since then I've been busy teaching myself and my kids how to hail a cab, fly a kite in Central Park, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with style. And a few other things. I write about those other things here. Thanks for stopping by!

Your comments about only visiting the touristy places made me laugh because I've lived in the city for 4 years and in the suburbs my whole life before that (minus a few college years), and I have never been to this conservatory garden. Now, it's at the top of my Memorial Day weekend plans! Also, the last time I was at the Cloisters was for an art history class trip in high school... sometimes I forget to visit the more obvious places!
Hi! I'm planning to visit NYC in July 2013 and I'd like to know if there are flowers in the conservatory garden at this time of year since it's no longer springtime. Thanks! Nice pics!
